Seems like Hoptown takes a step forward then follows it with a step back. Dot's seemed to do well until it expanded. Then the margins started to shrink. This seems to be a pattern for family owned restaurants in our fair city. Dots had good food reasonably priced, a dedicated staff that provided excellent service. So what's wrong? Bad location? I don't know but I do know it is difficult to keep a restaurant open in Hoptown. Downtown or anywhere else. Chains seem to do ok although some of the management say they aren't setting any records in comparison to their peers.
Anyway, sad to see Dots go.
